Dr. Fox has been an obesity surgeon for the past 42 years. He was the first surgeon in the United States (besides the inventor) to implant the adjustable gastric band. In addition to his own patients, he and the other experienced surgeons in his practice continue to care for patients of foreign surgeons, achieving excellent results over the years.

The aftercare program he developed for his practice is recognized as one of the most comprehensive and successful programs available for adjustable gastric band patients, and has served as a model to others in the profession.
